Born and raised in the beautiful town of Ravello on the Amalfi Coast, Owner and Head Chef Gianfranco has been delighting diners with creative Italian dishes in the UK since the late 1970s. From the 1980s onwards, he established himself as a successful restaurateur, bringing to life the much-loved Italian Touch Restaurants and Patisseries in Wood Green, Aldgate, Southgate, and Cockfosters. Gianfranco’s style of cooking has always remained loyal to his Southern Italian roots, driven by a passion for refined, authentic flavours.
Stefano, Gianfranco’s son, represents the fifth generation of a family deeply rooted in the restaurant business. Having grown up immersed in hospitality, Stefano developed a particular passion for wine. A self-taught expert, he went on to work as Food & Beverage Manager at a 5-star resort on the Amalfi Coast, where he spent six years refining his skills alongside some of the best in the industry. Today, bringing to life Zero Ristorante and curating its wine list is the realisation of a long-held dream.
Gianfranco has created a menu that pays homage to Italian classics while capturing the pure, uncomplicated essence of fresh Southern Italian cooking. Showcasing both land and sea, dishes include Homemade Tagliolini with Fresh Lobster and Slow-Cooked Breaded Lamb with a Red Wine Reduction.
Working closely with trusted local suppliers, Gianfranco is highly selective about the produce that enters his kitchen, ensuring only the freshest and finest ingredients make it onto your plate.
